Marwan Khamis Said AL-Moqbali

Marwan Khamis Said Al-Moqbali is an Omani geologist and Senior business development specialist with over seven years of experience advancing mineral-based innovation and industrial investment opportunities. At the Industrial Innovation Academy, he works at the intersection of geology, techno-economic assessment, project development, and stakeholder engagement, supporting initiatives undertaken in collaboration with Oman’s Ministry of Energy and Minerals. His portfolio includes the valorization of chromite and marble waste, the development of basalt-based rock wool and basalt fiber-reinforced polymer (BFRP) rebars, low-carbon construction materials, and mineral investment studies. He has contributed to multidisciplinary R&D programmes from concept development and pre-feasibility assessment through prototyping and commercialization planning. Marwan holds a BSc in Earth Sciences (Geology) from Sultan Qaboos University and an MBA from Franklin University.
