Biografía
After the World Health Organization (WHO) classified diesel particulate matter (DPM) as a Group 1 carcinogen, François Velge supported Australian mining sites in developing diesel management plans, identifying a critical gap in the continuous monitoring of DPM in underground environments. In 2014, he founded Pinssar to develop a real-time DPM monitoring system, which—after three years of research—led to the commercial launch in 2017 of the first system of its kind, designed according to customer needs.
Today, Pinssar operates across six continents, used by major mining and construction companies, and continues to enhance its systems and data-analytics platform. François actively supports mining sites by providing guidance on digital resource management, participating in committees, and promoting safer workplaces through 24/7 DPM monitoring.
